Debuting smack in the middle of Fashion Week on Tuesday, September 14, the 2,000 square-foot refurbished floor will showcase Hermès comprehensive leather collection in a sleek space designed by the late Rena Dumas' Parisian architecture agency RDAI.
The new floor will feature a swirling spiral staircase, rich cherry wood shelving, limestone tiled floors, tall sliding glass wall cases that go from floor to ceiling and a leather paneled VIP studio for custom orders.
Another cool element is the in-house leather workshop station staffed by Parisian trained craftsman who are on hand to restore customers' prized Hermès leathergoods. (Perhaps we'll see Birkin fiend Victoria Beckham stopping by).
Also debuting along with the leather floor is the U.S. launch of the limited-edition So Black handbag collection and miniature-sized Constance bags in satin. Naturally, both offerings will be prominently displayed in the shops' new digs.
