Britney Spears shows off her kawaii side in the latest issue of Pop magazine.

As our friends over at PopEater report, the photo shoot, art directed by famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (who's also designed for Louis Vuitton), features popular Manga imagery, with the Candie's collaborator wearing a schoolgirl backpack, Hello Kitty mobile phone, American Apparel-esque leotard, ankle socks, bright pink lips, and, interestingly enough, a wedding veil.

The results are very "long-forgotten Sailor Moon character" -- in a good way, of course.

Spears isn't just posing for the cameras these days, either. The star just shot a guest appearance on "Glee" and is hard at work on her next album, which may (or may not) come out later this year.

So, what can we expect?

It seems "anything" goes. When asked whether she'd ever consider working with Lady Gaga, she answered, "I'm a big fan of hers ... Anything's possible!" Awesome!

Meanwhile, we recently spotted the mother of two flaunting her buff bikini body on a Hawaiin beach with on-off boyfriend Jason Trawick.
