Post Your Face: I Lost 120 Pounds With Gastric Bypass, But Now My Face Is Fattening Up
The Patient's Question: I lost 120 pounds with gastric bypass surgery seven years ago. Now my neck and cheeks are fattening up again. Would plastic surgery help?

But for our blog, it is all about the face. In your case, the loss of weight is like deflating a balloon. The balloon is the skin of your face and the skin has stretched out. While you can see your skin sagging, you can't see the tissues under your skin doing the same thing. That said, it is important that any procedure to improve your looks should include maneuvers that address all the sagging structures.
In the computer manipulated "after" photo, I have improved the cheeks, nasolabial folds and the neck. These are all components of an excellent facelift. In performing these procedures, I would like to draw attention to correcting the hollow under your eyelid. My favorite procedure to improve this problem is with fat grafting. Fat is taken from one area of your body and injected into the nasolabial folds and the tear troughs under your eyes.
A routine facelift costs between $7000 and $10,000. Recovery is typically 7 to 14 days.
If you would like to learn more about a facelift or other treatments that enhance your beauty, refer to my new book, "A More Beautiful You - Reverse Aging Through Skin Care, Plastic Surgery and Lifestyle Solutions."

I've had the gastric sleeve surgery and after 3 years I've slowly lost over 150 pounds. I am now putting on weight and can't understand why. I have been drinking liquids lately, since having dental work have no been able to eat anything solid, but the pounds keep adding on. What can I do to get this weight back off. I was finally down to 243 and now I'm back up again to nearly 270 pounds. I need advise. I can't talk to my surgeon since we ended our relationship due to a mistake he made. I have not only been gaining weight, but have been ill because of him. He made a terrible mistake and won't admit to it. Now there's no one I can turn to about this. I've read the other posts in hopes that maybe you can answer mine.
