In two video clips posted on the site (see them here), Aldridge discusses her style inspirations, how she got her start as a blogger at age 15, and gives fans a tour of her favorite shopping haunts in her native Dallas.
Picking up items at V.O.D., Archive Vintage, and Dolly Python, Aldridge finds some on-trend leather shorts, bold printed skirts, and a waist-cinching Norman Norell dress from the '50s. To avoid a cookie-cutter look, she suggests mixing the old with the new.
"Vintage clothing is a huge piece of history," says Aldridge, who started collecting vintage at 10 years old. "It's a very potent cultural barometer, and I think it's important to preserve clothing. One of my biggest style influences is Tina Chow. She was a jewelry designer and a very passionate vintage collector."
