And it seems brunette beauties Kim Kardashian and Rose Byrne both got the memo for the 2010 Emmy Awards, though neither wore simple sheaths. The two both went for theatrical, almost costumey gowns in white with gold accents.
Calendar girl Kardashian's silk chiffon Marchesa column dress had a draped bodice and jewelling on the neckline. While her curves were minimized, the Cleopatra-style number certainly didn't hide her amazing assets. The reality star completed her look with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
"Damages" star Byrne went more cutting edge, opting for a futuristic frock designed by Gucci's Frida Giannini. The sharp lines gave the dress a geometry-inspired aesthetic.
Byrne matched the gold of her Bochic jewelry with the gold metallic "frame" of her dress. This was a sleek, modern look that could have been a little too Judy Jetson, yet veered on the side of refreshing.
Meanwhile, check out Christina Hendricks's lilac Emmy Awards ensemble.
