Emmy Awards 2010 - Best and Worst Dressed
There were a smattering of red carpet trendlettes showcased at the 2010 Emmy Awards on Sunday night. Stars attending television's version of the Oscars were sleek in dark shades such as black and navy, smashing in an array of scarlet looks, and demure in dove gray hues.
But for all of the evening's fashionable winners - hats off to you Elisabeth Moss (in Donna Karan), Sofia Vergara (in a bejeweled Carolina Herrera column), and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (in a midriff-baring, mesh-paneled Narciso Rodriguez) - there were also a fair share of questionable ensembles.
Back on the hit list is January Jones, whose kooky awards show style is quickly approaching Tina Fey status. The "Mad Men" actress, ever the beauty, did herself no favors in a royal blue mullet gown with cone bra detailing by Versace. Unlike Fey, who really did try to score (but narrowly missed) a red carpet win in Oscar de la Renta, Jones was aiming for avant garde and fell short yet again.
Seasoned pros like Glenn Close played it too safe in a shapeless taffeta frock, and - despite having Tom Ford as a BFF - Rita Wilson committed the cardinal fashion sin of wearing a single designer head-to-toe. We wouldn't have minded as much if she didn't exactly match her chandelier-inspired, crystal-laden Prada mini-dress to her shoes.

The 18th picture in the worst dressed category? I guess if good fashion's not wearing a gross green color with an actually nice looking dress, something I do not think we shall find in most fashion at the moment(it's all so sloppy and cheap looking), then I suppose I need to kill myself now before we start wearing bright neon orange stickynotes for skirts.
