Filmmaker Sofia Coppola stepped out at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 2. in a cool borrowed-from-the-boys look while promoting her most recent film, "Somewhere".

The Marc Jacobs muse - he described her as "young and sweet and innocent and beautiful. The epitome of this girl I fantasize of" to New York Magazine in 2005 - toted a Louis Vuitton suede day bag from her collaborative collection with the brand.

Coppola's proper oxford shirt and tailored shorts ensemble even included adorable cuff links. The menswear-inspired look was paired with feminine wedge heels so as not to go overboard.

"Somewhere" stars Stephen Dorff as a bad-boy who enjoys a life of excess at the swanky Chateau Marmont until his 11-year-old daughter (played by Dakota's little sister, Elle Fanning) pays him a visit.
