Is it a powder bronzer, cream blush or cheek stain?

Answer: none of the above.

But we're more than just a little obsessed anyway -- and so, we hear, are top celebrities like Victoria Beckham.

Perfekt Beauty's new Cheek Perfection Gel is a weightless sheer color gel that acts like an airbrush complexion primer, but with the payoff of subtle color that instantly customizes according to your skin tone, and you're seeing it for the very first time here on StyleList.

The soft-finish gel comes in both traditional Blushed and Bronzed shades, which both feel like silk against our fingertips. Since the highly-concentrated pigment isn't mixed with water, the tiniest bead is all you need to blend a sculpted cheekbone or radiantly blushing apple of the cheek.

Ingredients like caffeine stimulate circulation and tone the skin, while niacin increases ceramide and free fatty acid levels for a plumper finish.

Brit "It" makeup artist Rachel Wood says there are unique advantages to using the gel.

"It looks like the color is naturally coming through the skin. It's also long-lasting, which is terrific in hot weather," says Wood. "This product works and adapts with your own natural skin tone, which makes this gel special in comparison to other products."

As for our favorite benefit: it's fast. We hope Mom's not reading, because we admit to blushing up en route to brunch this past weekend -- while stopped at a red light.

"Use a small dab on the apple of the cheek, and work up towards the top of the ear to enhance cheekbones. You don't even need a makeup brush or wedge sponge, the fingers work fine," instructs Wood.

The cheek treats join an existing line of perfecting gel products -- including a fake-it foundation gel we can't get enough of -- and will launch at Henri Bendel and PerfektBeauty.com on Friday, September 10th in celebration of Fashion's Night Out, followed by Sephora.com in October and Sephora stores in November.

But because we hate waiting for beauty goodies that we want now, we've arranged for a special pre-sale exclusive to StyleList readers, plus a complimentary secret A-list travel-sized product with every order!

Simply click here to shop before everyone else.

Though do take care to stay away from our applying makeup while driving no-no -- as you should with flip-flops and bare feet too.

I don't need an airbrush gel to look unique.

Not only do I look unique, I am unique. Uniquely me, as is every other single individual person created on this planet by God.

Don't believe me? Ask my Creator.

I'd like to comment about Steve's response above who stated "I don't need an airbrush gel to look unique." You are absolutely correct. Human beings, just as all of G-d's creatures, are beautiful just as we are. However, I would like to share an experience I had last night with you.

Last night was Fashion Night out in Manhattan, and as one fortunate enough to survive the 911 attacks, I have never gone out on the eve of the attacks. However, after 9 years, I decided that it was time to break this cycle of grief and mourning, celebrate the lives of those who perished instead of mourning them, and spend the evening amongsth the living. With so many events planned for the evening, I chose to spend some time at Henri Bendel's.

Bendels was packed with hoards of people, the papparrazzi was outside staking out all the elite 5th Avenue stores, hoping to catch a few pictures of one of the many celebrities attending the festivities, the music was blaring over the store's speakers, and after an hour or so of roaming around, I had had enough and was ready to go home.

However, on my way out, I wanted to check out one cosmetic company's products, PER FEKT, that has received widespread 5 Star reviews, and see for myself what all the hype was about and whether the products actually did what the creator, Richard Anderson, professed they would do.

With all the loud, crowded, controlled chaos in the store, one counter in the cosmetic department caught my eye. Amongst all the chaos in the store, I felt drawn to this one table, beautifully adorned with products by someone who clearly spent much time and thought into how they wanted their products displayed, and the GORGEOUS man standing behind it.There was a very welcoming, calm, almost serene feeling that seemed to emanate from this man, calming the jitters I was feeling after spending almost an hour being pushed and shoved by the crowd in the store that seemed to get larger and larger the longer I remained in the store.

Lo and behold, I had inadvertently found the Perfekt counter and the genuine friendly, welcoming, warm smile from the man behind the counter belonged to the owner and creator of the Perfekt line, Richard Anderson.

I have been following this company for several years, very interested in the technology of the products and since I had the attention of the founder of the company, I wanted to take the opportunity to learn as much as I could. Despite all the other people around, he had me sit down, applied 3 of the 4 products this company has for sale; the eye perfecting cream, the Skin Perfection Gel and their brand new Cheek Perfection Blush, all the while answering EVERY question I posed to him.

Well, regardless of all the hype, the reality is all anyone really cares about is how well the products worked. It took all of maybe 3 minutes for Richard to make up my whole face so when he grabbed a mirror and asked me what I thought, I was shocked at the image that stared back at me. I looked like me only a much, more beautiful, almost flawless version of me. With a tiny amount of product, every line, flaw, every imperfection disappeared. I was truly blown away. Even better, these products will NOT wear off or need to be reapplied at any time throughout the day or evening. I tested that theory even further last night by sleeping with the make up on and to my surprise, when I awoke this morning, I looked just as flawless as when Richard had first applied the products. However, the products did wash off easily without any rubbing, with simple cleanser. The ingredients in Perfekt products are actually good for your skin. Not once, did Richard push me to purchase anything which I found refreshing. The products sell themselves.

Now we can all say that we want to age gracefully, that our fine lines or slightly sagging skin that everyone experiences through the natural process of aging, doesn't bother us, but I believe that for the majority of the population, we do want to maintain our youthful appearance and look as attractive as possible for as long as possible. It took no more than 3 minutes for Richard to apply these 3 products to my face. 3 minutes!!!!! And you don't have to be a make up artist to get it right. As a matter of fact, Richard is no make up artist. His background is in sales. So if he can apply these products flawlessly, cetainly everyone can.

I can understand a person's choice to forego cosmetic surgery, preferring to accept the aging process as simply part of life. But if 3 simple products could literally take 15 years off your appearance, making you feel better about yourself, how could anyone find fault with that? For me, Perfekt products are truly the Fountain of Youth. And from this day forward, they will become as essential a part of my life as eating well and exercising. If you don't believe that any products can be as incredible as I have described in this comment, then order these products and test it for yourself. The worst that will happen is you won't agree with my assessment, you'll return everything and get a full refund. But my guess is once you see and feel the difference in your skin, you, too, will be hooked, and become a lifelong devotee, just as I have.
