Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 - Runway Review

INSPIRATION: Botanical prints from the 18th century and traditional clothes from Korea
TOP LOOKS: The unbelievably artfully draped and folded waists on many skirts and dresses. And as always, Carolina's signature crisp white blouse.
ACCESSORIES: Models wore three to five wooden barrettes to hold back their hair, so they could wear great wide-brim hats, of classic Korean men's style.
WHO WAS THERE: Loads of social ladies, all done up in their best Herreras.
WHAT WE THOUGHT: One of the prettiest collections we've seen in ages. The use of botanical plates as a print was inspired, particularly when one became a pocket. Carolina rarely missteps, and when she's on, she's really on. (Perhaps that's why Miss J. Alexander couldn't stop gushing about it.)
