INSPIRATION: "A woman fierce in spirit, yet utterly feminine"
TOP LOOKS: Polka-dot and watercolor-floral dress worn underneath a navy sailor-stripe blazer; cream antique-floral dress and white birdcage hat; white drop-waist dress with embellished neck and waistline and featherlike fringe
ACCESSORIES: Ankle-wrap wedges in bright colors and playful prints, often paired with sheer socks; white oxfords; glittering brooches; birdcage and pillbox hats
WHO WAS THERE: Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford
WHAT WE THOUGHT: Completely delectable from head to toe. The Romanian-born designer grouped her collection into four sections: easy, breezy summer-white frocks; a safari theme that included animal prints and khaki palazzo pants; a colorful garden party packed with antique-floral frocks; and -- our favorite! -- a nautical set that featured navy and white, stripes, polka dots, and vibrant watercolor florals in a mix of modern shapes.
Although the mash-up of patterns and silhouettes read young and playful, closer inspection of the pieces (and hemlines) revealed that women across the spectrum of age and, perhaps to a lesser extent, size could wear the majority. Overall, Baraschi's top collection to date.
