Anyone know what the going rate for a flight to Italy is?

We're desperate to live "la dolce vita" and get our hands on the upcoming womenswear capsule collection from Gap and the House of Valentino, which will -- waaaaaaaaahhhhhh -- not be available in North America, according to a press release from the retailer.

Yes, yes, it's a cruel world, we know.

Valentino creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli are taking their high fashion talents to the high street with the lower-priced line, which will celebrate Gap's launch in Italy.

Set to debut in November, the (we predict) insanely chic wares will be sold at the Gap flagship in Milan, as well as Colette in Paris, Dover Street Market in London, and the Gap London flagship, the release states.

Note to self: Renew passport.

"We are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this important project, as it brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap's fashion essentials," Chiuri and Piccioli say in the release

"In this way, Valentino and Gap synthesize the current trend of combining luxury with basics."

Sigh. You win this round, Italians!
