Backstage at Preen's Spring 2011 fashion show at New York Fashion Week, the look was natural and sexy with soft curls, long bangs that fringed the eyes and light blue eyeshadow.

THE SCOOP: British designer duo Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi showed a chic collection of suits and dresses that are guaranteed to be a hit among the young Hollywood set (Blake Lively and Kate Bosworth are big fans of the fashion label). The beauty teams chose playful bangs, loose waves and light blue shadow to reflect the contrast between cute and edgy that the collection evokes.

"It's a '90's look inspired by Catherine Deneuve in her 1964 french film, "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," said James Kaliardos for MAC Cosmetics. The emphasis was on a '60s style eye that is more minimalized to open up the eye without being too aggressive. The hair was loose, playful and natural with a subtle shine. "The models have soft waves that are cute, sexy and fun," said Luke Hersheson for Redken.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by MAC Cosmetics. To start, apply Prep and Prime Finishing Powder to the face. Then brush 'Give Me Sun Bronzer' over cheeks for a sunkissed look. Follow with Pearl Cream Color Base to highlight the cheekbones and create an elegant contour. For eyes, apply pale blue shadow called 'Lite Brite' to the inner corners of the eye, followed by a taupe gray shade called 'Swell Baby' in the crease to open up the eyes. Curl the lashes, but no mascara. For lips, apply Super Kissable Lipcolor in a nude shade.


GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Redken. Models wore clip-on bangs that tapered in the front. Twist and wrap hair around a curling iron and flip upside down to create a looser curl. Follow by brushing the hair out with a Mason Pierson brush. Finish by applying Full Force Hair Spray and Body Full Amplifier.
