Who says Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, and Jimmy Choo get to corner the market when it comes to runway shoes?

Zac Posen certainly isn't. On the heels of a collaboration with Target, the designer teamed with more affordable shoe giant Steve Madden on the footwear that appeared in Posen's Z Spoke Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week runway show.

Making their Fashion Week debut, Madden's shoes included metallic green (left) as well as black sky-high platform sandals with ankle straps and buckles, black peep-toe stiletto lace-up ankle booties, and ladylike lavender pumps with wicked heels.

So, will Claire Danes, Kimora Lee Simmons, or Kristen Cavallari -- all in attendance at the show -- swap out their super expensive shoes for a brand most Americans can find at their local mall? The shoes were made specifically for the runway, so probably not. But do we expect to see a rash of fashion fans teetering in similarly styled Steve Madden heels? Before you can say "recessionista."

And, if you'd like to recreate Posen's beauty looks from the show, here's how.
