THE SCOOP: Halston is widely recognized for echoing the spirit of the 1970s with seductive silhouettes in eye-catching colors. And for the Spring 2011 collection, lead makeup artist Petros Petrohilos perfected a look that was sexy, but polished. He gave the girls very dewy skin by using a combination of cream blushes and shadows depending on their complexion. And he muted out the lips using foundation "so everything looks a bit more tonal."
GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by M.A.C. Prep skin with Studio Moisture Cream and Face and Body Foundation with minimal Studio Sculpt Concealer. Depending on your skin tone apply So Sweet, So Easy, Brit Wit, or Tea Petal Creme Blend Blush with #188 Brush onto the cheeks. Smooth on either Pearl or Shell Cream Color Base with #225 brush to highlight the cheeks and chin. Using the #127 brush, highlight the inner corners of the eye with Luna, Pearl or Shell. And blend in Brit Wit or Tea Petal with #224 into the eye crease. Then generously apply Opulash Bad, Bad Black Mascara and StudioFix Lash in Black Fix to create very full, but separated eyelashes. Finish by smoothing on lip conditioner and little Face and Body Foundation onto the lip.
