INSPIRATION: Acra said she sought to create a wardrobe for the modern princess and to celebrate luxury with beading that evoked flowers blossoming from magic fountains.

High-waist cream trousers with a racer-back tank and horseshoe belt; embroidered gold lamé cap-sleeve disco dress; blush fairy-tale gown of cascading sequins peeking from floaty chiffon.

ACCESSORIES: Large geode-crystal necklaces, vintagey olive leather belts, champagne leather lace-up flat sandals with a Grecian-ballerina feel

WHAT WE THOUGHT: You know when you slip on a garment so perfect, you can't help but twirl like a little girl playing dress-up? Acra's dresses conveyed that youthful fashion glee. The collection -- all frothy pink gowns and blush taffeta gathers -- continues the designer's Fall 2010 transition from pure Old World glamour to a more mischievous, younger vibe.

And the models seemed to love it. They swished their silk chiffon and feather-trimmed layers back and forth and laughed while occasionally lip-synching to a soundtrack of Hendrix and the Doors. We dug the contrast of red-carpet gowns cinched in leather and disco sheaths with equestrian belts. Swoons all around.
