Models at Thakoon's Spring 2011 Fashion Show at New York Fashion Week, resembled fairies with their perfectly tousled tresses and golden, shimmering faces.

THE SCOOP: Inspired by nature, Thakoon's Spring 2011 collection is filled with light and airy pieces. So, it was only fitting that the beauty teams created hair and makeup that mimicked the ethereal essence of the outdoors.

The clothes are light so I wanted the makeup to have a little more impact this time – as if the girls were beautiful, cool fairies," said designer Thakoon. "I wanted the whole aura to feel like opening windows and letting in a breeze- fresh and romantic but tempered at the same time."

Lead makeup artist Diane Kendal fashioned a lit-from-within glow by dusting a gold powder onto the cheeks, nose, and brow bone and keeping the lips nude. "Golden, but not tanned. As if the girls are glowing from within... with, of course, confidence," explained Kendal.

Hair stylist Didier Malige saturated and teased the models' strands to create a "running through the woods" look.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All makeup by Nars. Prep skin with Mattifying Primer and Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer (available Spring 2011). Line lids with Hollywoodland Shadow Pencil (available Spring 2011) and contour the eyes with Calanque Trio Eyeshadow (available Spring 2011) using the darker shade in the outer corners. Sculpt cheeks with Zen Blush and brush on Laguna Bronzing Powder to the apples. Finish by applying Pure Matte Lipstick in Madere (available Spring 2011).

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All hair products by Frédéric Fekkai. Prep dry hair by applying Full Blown Volume Styling Whip, combing it back away from the face with your fingers. Then spritz on Coiff Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray to the middle and ends of the hair. Finish the look by teasing the back of the hair to keep it light and create shape.
