WHO WAS THERE: Editors and bloggers meandered through the colorful presentation, sipping mimosas and munching mini Nutella sandwiches

WHAT WE THOUGHT: Kate Spade's Spring 2011 collection offered classic totes and clutches with dramatic pops of color and detail that make the brand a coveted accessory for every girly-girl. The presentation included timeless shapes and styles with a funky '80s flair, which seemed fun and refreshing when many designers this season have gone back to basics, focusing on neutral hues and minimal embellishment.

Square bead-encrusted neon clutches were irresistible for a night out, and a slew of cross-body and tote options for everyday wear will make ladies swoon. The classic Chanel-esque chain-link, quilted shoulder bag was reinvented in punchy colors that make timeless black seem blasé.

Bold colors and expertly crafted pieces only reaffirmed Kate Spade as a handbag favorite. The clothes, jewelry, and accessories were an added bonus to the must-have bags. Bangles, belts, brooches, and an array of clothing to mix and match were color-coordinated but not overwhelmingly matchy-matchy.
