THE SCOOP: Tara Subkoff's 'Imitation' Spring 2011 collection had a romantic and ethereal feel, full of billowing long chiffon skirts and delicate silk camisoles. Pale pink lace and jersey fabric gave the pieces a delicate and whimsical appearance, so the beauty teams chose a modern twist on the classic ballerina look to compliment the chic, Chanel inspired collection.

Lead makeup artist, Nadine Luke, added modern and girly touches to classic theater makeup. "Makeup always looks better after hours so I wanted to give the girls that polished but messy glow," said Luke.

Hair channeled the same messy-chic vibe. "The collection is very a 1930's Chanel, so we created a simple and clean Samurai knot bun that sits a little higher than the classic ballerina bun. I wanted the girl to look like a ballet dancer with a little edge," said hair stylist Nick Pagano.

Nails were painted a subtle shade of tan to blend in with the light and airy tone of the collection.

GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: All products by M.A.C. For the face, apply a light layer of Mineralize Foundation all over. For eyes, start by applying a white concealer on the inner corners of the eye to open them up. Then use a nude eye pencil in 'Silver Dust' to line the inside of the eye. "Nude has a more natural look than white liner," Nadine points out. Continue with Eye Shadow Frost in 'Naked Lunch' to line the top and bottom of the eyes, leaving a little space to let the white shadow shine through. When applying the shadow, angle the brush and follow the shape of the eye, letting the shadow extend out a little past the eye, instead of up. Apply Studio Fix Lash Mascara to lashes. "This mascara is amazing because it gets lashes you didn't even know you had," said Nadine. For lips, mix Orange and Crimson shades of Cream Matte Lip Color to create a vibrant orange hue and dab on lightly.

GET THE LOOK - HAIR: All products by Unite Eurotherapy. Start by running dry shampoo through the hair. "This is especially great for the models because it gets all the excess stuff out of their hair," said Pagano. Then use a blow dryer on the hair for a couple minutes in order to soak up some of the moisture from the shampoo. Smooth 'Wicked Wax' through hair to give it a glistening sheen and make it easy to work with. Pull the hair back into a tight ponytail on the top of the head, twist and wrap the pony into a towering knot. Then spray GO365 Hairspray to keep hair in place. (This product was created especially for New York Fashion Week and will be sold in salons in January 2011) Finish by spraying 'Shine A Mist' all over to give the hair a healthy shine.

GET THE LOOK - NAILS: Apply two coats of 'All Hail McQueen' nail color to the nails and follow with one coat of high shine.
