INSPIRATION: Ethereal dresses and ballet
WHO: Dr. Lisa Airan sporting full-on furry J.Mendel, Dalia Oberlander, Coralie Charriol, top editors from Vogue, and reps from Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus
TOP LOOKS: Silver slinky long-sleeve fitted top over a wisp of pleated buff chiffon; pale-gold velvet plunging-neck draped gown; rusty-peach short shaggy fur coat that was belted
ACCESSORIES: Christian Louboutin razor-thin wedges wrapped in bright-coral silk faille bands; flat tan sandals with some of the longest dresses. Summer fur and Tibetan lamb, of course, around the shoulders in puffs of gray, coral, and white.
WHAT WE THOUGHT: The collection was a breath of fresh air in what has been a subdued week. Looks were easy, happy, desirable, fun. Skirt lengths were either supershort or calf or ankle length. Some were knife-pleated (a big spring trend), while others were fitted and shirred. The palette was tight, with the above-mentioned neutrals and pops of bright orange and peach. We loved that long lengths were paired with flat shoes, including chiffon fishtail gowns. Hair was wild and free, skin clean, and lips bright. If this is what Spring 2011 looks like, take us there.
