INSPIRATION: Shipwrecked, but with a suitcase full of fabulous clothes to throw on while you send smoke signals.
TOP LOOKS: Williamson lightened the heavier structured tailored pieces from his autumn/winter collection to create something altogether more feminine and fun for spring. The leopard print weave strapless bustier dress with matching jacket was a standout; the collarless jacket falling away from strong shoulders for effortless elegance,while long, high-waisted, wide-legged trousers gave new legs to nautical styling.
He might hate the label, but boho luxe is Williamson's bread and butter, and he delivered this season with billowing maxi dresses. A canary yellow silk chiffon version featured twisted shoulder straps and a draped caped back that was perfect for beachside cocktails, while a densely sequined minidress with lustrous snakeskin finish is sure to get light bulbs flashing on the red carpet.
WHO WAS THERE: Sienna Miller and Olivia Palermo were on hand to cherry pick their party dresses for the season ahead.
WHAT WE THOUGHT: It takes a lot of create a sense of excitement amongst fashion week's jaded audiences, but the crumbling structure of Battersea Power Station provided a jaw-dropping backdrop for Williamson's return to London Fashion Week.
And the clothes? She might have been strayed on a desert island, but Williamson's girl was a little more streetwise, with an urban wardrobe teeming with easy-to-wear items, sprinkled with his trademark embellishment and girlish charm. The tailored pieces marks a new string to Williamson's bow, but it's the dresses – whether flirty cocktail or hippie deluxe maxi –where he really gets into his stride.
