While playing matchy-matchy with your mate often results in a groan-worthy showcase (who can forget Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake hitting the red carpet in his-and-her denim evening attire?), the ever sleek George Clooney and his Italian model/actress girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis did it right.

Upon arrival at the Giorgio Armani runway show in Milan, the painfully good-looking couple held hands and struck poses in all-black suits -- Canalis's was a Roberto Cavalli single-button, sculpted-shoulder style worn with a cleavage-baring tank, and Clooney's a signature Armani slim-fit number paired with a button-down (sans tie) worn loose to show off his tan chest.

Although Canalis looks good in basically anything thanks to her enviable body (check out these underwear ads for Roberto Cavalli), we rather like her in this masculine getup, which is accessorized just right --- with an angular clutch and sparkly black and silver shoes -- to make it feminine.
