Ralph Lauren Enlists 100 Bloggers to Model for Pink Pony's 10th Anniversary

Fashion bloggers posting portraits of themselves in cool ensembles has become the bread and butter of the internet, but today a select group of online darlings are wearing a garment that carries more gravitas than usual. You see, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it also marks the 10th anniversary of Ralph Lauren's Pink Pony foundation.

In honor of the occasion, the philanthropic designer, who also founded the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer initiative over 20 years ago, has enlisted 100 bloggers to snap pics wearing the latest Pink Pony polo. Those who are participating in the stylish assignment include savvy online scenesters such as Tavi, Nitrolicious, the glam squad from Refinery29, and many more.

In addition to the fashionable photos, the iconic brand has also partnered with Charity Buzz for a glamorous auction filled with everything from a Pink Pony handbag to a private cycling ride with Lance Armstrong in Austin, Texas. For his part, Lauren is not only offering an array of stylish clothing and accessories, but is also providing access to his famously chic lifestyle. Bidders can win a personal tour of his classic car collection, a trip (and front row seat) to the Fall 2011 fashion show in New York, and (wait for it) even a 4-day, 3-night stay at his luxurious Round Hill property in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

"The vision was to allow people to connect with the world of Ralph Lauren," David Lauren, the designer's son and Senior Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications, told StyleList. "We really wanted to share some of the access from the world of fashion, sports, entertainment. That was really our goal."

The auction goes live tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st through October 21st, with 100% of the proceeds of the art, luxury travel, couture, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences going to cancer care and prevention.
