Take that, size zero!
Designer Jean Paul Gaultier gave curvy girls a major fashion shout-out by enlisting plus-size singer Beth Ditto to walk his Paris runway over the weekend.
The voluptuous Gossip crooner -- who designs a plus-size range for British retailer Evans -- opened and closed the show while modeling Gaultier's creations.
Rocking a blunt black bob and wild sci-fi-esque blue eye shadow, the size 26 star also sang an Ike and Tina Turner classic for the well-heeled crowd.
Ditto -- who once appeared on Love's cover in the nude -- isn't the only curvy beauty to hit the runway.
Plus-size supermodel Crystal Renn -- who also stars in Gaultier's Fall 2010 campaign -- hit Zac Posen's runway -- and let's not forget pregnant Miranda Kerr's turn on the Balenciaga catwalk.
So, is this just a passing fad, or is the fashion world finally ready to embrace full-figured beauty? Guess we'll find out next season.
Meanwhile, Fashion Week has also put senior citizen models front and center.

i'm all about being curvy, but i don't think that's the appropriate adjective here. she looks like a bottle of damiana. i think she could have pulled off a different piece, but these particular outfits don't hang well and look like they were intended for someone much smaller. the close cropped hair and wild makeup just add to the tight, constricting vibe. i guess she just doesn't look comfortable to me - confident maybe, but not physically comfortable - and it comes across.
