Oh, Britney...

A week after wowing us on "Glee," the pop princess suffered a style setback: being caught shopping in a next to nothing negligee, the Daily Mail reports.

Though the perfume diva got off to a good start by hitting the shops in jeans, she soon emerged from the Only Hearts lingerie boutique in an ultra-short, lace-trimmed gray slip paired with a lilac cardigan and blue boots, according to the paper.

Um, you break it, you buy it, honey.

So did the Candie's model/designer have an urgent slumber party to attend, or did she get Cheeto dust all over her normal clothes? Your guess is as good as ours.

But in the meantime, we'll be keeping a close eye on Brit-Brit next time she pops into Victoria's Secret!

@Rob: This is a gossip/fashion column, what issues do you expect them to cover? Anyway, I said this back when she had her nervous breakdown and I'll say it now. She choose a profession where one is constantly in the limelight. She choose to try to become famous. I'm not saying she should be mentally tortured, but if she doesn't want attention, she shouldn't do things to seek it. Or to put it another way, if she didn't want people to comment that she's walking around in her slip, she shouldn't wear it in public.

No matter how hard she tries to climb out of the muck, sooner or later she does something that screams, "I'm a tramp!" She just has no class. Remember, Britney, tramp in the bedroom, but lady out of it.

Not s fan of Brit or anyone else really. But I want to point out to the people who said she choose the limelight, that it was chosen for her when she was a very young child.
Also, so she is in Lingerie, big deal! Southern Cal is having a heat wave, maybe she was hot. She is as covered as a pair of shorts and a tank top...so who cares!

Is it a slip or a negligee? The title uses one term; the article uses uses the other.
What's with this writer who pretty much copied the entire story from another source?

Why does it matter to anyone what Britney wears? It's her life.

As long as her outfit covered her breasts and butt, she was dressed legally and offended nobody. (Well...., except for maybe some prissy writer or sanctimonious bible thumper.)
And..., what does it matter if she wears a bra? Bras are worn for comfort and style. Apparently neither of those were her concern that day.

Personally, I don't care for the combination of the negligee, cardigan, and saggy blue boots, but hey...., it's not me!
(A pair of thigh-high dark gray boots to match the negligee would have been pretty hot.

Do any of these writers who take derogatory shots at Britney ever consider that she is using them for her gain?
She is constantly followed and hounded by photographers. Perhaps she is just taking advantage of the situations and the photo ops by being outlandish.

I'm not a big fan of hers, but am concerned about her sunken and heavily-made-upped eyes. Is she on drugs? That would be bad for her children.

Leave the girl alone and take up knitting, or something more productive.
