When the beauty team at StyleList made our rounds backstage at Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week, we were excited to see nail art as the must-have accessory. Designer and nail brand collaborations popped up at Jason Wu, Victoria Beckham, Tracy Reese, and Prabal Gurung with custom nail polish blended and smoothed onto the digits of models in neutral, bright, matte, and glossy finishes.

But it was the daring, two-dimensional manicures at Cushnie et Ochs, Ruffian, Z Spoke by Zac Posen, and The Blonds that really nailed it with details that popped against the feminine and flirty ensembles.
