Club Monaco may not have its own e-commerce, but it does have Shopbop.
Starting yesterday, the retailers joined forces to launch a Club Monaco shop on Shopbop that offers a "curated" capsule collection of Club Monaco, specially chosen for the Shopbop customer.
"When you think of what the go-to e-commerce site is for the contemporary customer, it really is Shopbop," Ann Watson, vice-president for marketing and communications at Club Monaco told StyleList. "We really share a customer base – our customer is an early adapter and shops online."
"We wanted to expand our assortment of work appropriate clothes and easy pieces," Kate Ciepluch, Shopbop's fashion director told StyleList. "There's such a great range within this collection and it speaks to so many customers. We bought a lot of blazers and pants at great price points, so I think our customers are going to love it. There's fashion, but it's not out of reach."
The first 25-piece delivery of this collaboration revolves around camel. "It's an important color for us for fall," Ciepluch said, "so when we saw the Club Monaco collection, it was perfect and so on trend. Our customer is always looking for the next thing."
The collaboration was celebrated at Club Monaco's 57th Street flagship in Manhattan Tuesday evening, where guests could actually try on and be photographed in many of the Club Monaco/Shopbop pieces.
