The second time is still a charm.

First lady Michelle Obama broke out her pink ponte knit dress from Talbots at a campaign event for Senator Russ Feingold in Milwaukee on Oct. 13, pairing it with a white necklace from St. Erasmus.

This is the second time we've seen the frock, which previously made its public debut in March, when Mrs. Obama paired it with a brooch at the neck for a speaking engagement at the annual meeting of the School Nutrition Association in Washington, D.C.

Since its most recent appearance, Talbots has received hundreds of calls and Facebook comments from customers asking to purchase the dress. Unfortunately, the number, which originally cost an affordable $129, was from the retailer's Fall 2009 collection.

While one lucky customer snagged a single dress that was languishing on the sale racks in Seattle, others will have to wait and see if Talbots decides to re-cut the piece.

After all, look what customers made the Gap do.
