We knew Katy Perry was launching a signature scent called Purr, but, despite her penchant for provocative fashion, we had yet to imagine her clad in a pink and purple latex catsuit in the advertisement. In the photo, shot by photographer Miles Aldridge, she's posed crawling, cat-like, on the floor by a giant pink ball of yarn.

According to a report in WWD, the image was inspired by the feline-shaped perfume bottle. Gigantic Parfums, Perry's scent licensee, plans to use the visual in national print ads, regional billboard campaigns, new media and event-based programs in conjunction with the fragrance's early November release.

The first national print ads will break in the January magazines, and the visual itself will be see in Nordstrom stores starting this November.

Stay tuned for more info on how Purr by Katy Perry actually smells and whether or not it makes Stylelist say "meow."

And pretty soon fans of Perry's can match their scent with their shoes -- the singer is in talks with Steve Madden to develop footwear.
