She's got the look!
British actress Carey Mulligan
may not have brought home an Oscar for her role in "An Education
," but her trophy case won't be going bare.
The recent Vogue cover girl has been named the Best Dressed Woman of the Year by Harper's Bazaar UK, the Daily Mail reports.
Up next in "Never Let Me Go," the "it" Brit is known for her stylish pixie cut and cutting-edge red carpet frocks from the likes of Prada and Elie Saab.
Fashion designer Erdem Moraglioglu, a judge on the Harper's Bazaar panel, called her style "so '60s French New Wave -- like a Godard starlet -- but totally modern."
Victoria Beckham, supermodel Yasmin Le Bon, Alexa Chung, and singer Florence Welch rounded out the top five in the UK-heavy list, according to the paper.
Other notable style warriors? Tilda Swinton (#7), Natalia Vodianova (#8), British First Lady Samantha Cameron (#10), Gwyneth Paltrow (#11), Kate Moss (#13), Sienna Miller (#15), and singer Coco Sumner (#20).
Noticeably absent was actress Emma Watson, who recently won a best-dressed title of her own.
Got to spread the wealth, we suppose. Or maybe this list is only big enough for one blonde British pixie?
