Claudia Schiffer Wears Same Outfit Two Days in a Row

Stars -- they really are just like us! Or, you know, the sloppier versions of us.

Too busy to shave? Check. (Step right up, Hilary Swank and Natalia Vodianova.)

Prone to the occasional fashion faux pas? Check. (Just ask Charlene Wittstock.)

But even we only wear the exact outfit two days in a row when we're, um, doing the walk of shame.

So what's Claudia Schiffer's excuse?

In a case of déjà vu, the stunning 40-year-old supermodel was busted wearing the same outfit -- dark blue jeans, a striped shirt under a pale green sweater, a brown belt, golden bangles, oversized sunglasses, and a black crossbody bag -- as she took her kids to school on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4, The Sun reports.

The outfit was chic, but does wearing it twice in a row mean the mother of three has hit a style rut? Or was it just laundry day?

Or maybe Schiffer's trying to promote her new cashmere line by wearing her sweaters... a lot?

I see those parents that drop their kids off at the bus stop
(not even at school) every day in their pj's and robe. No excuse for that other than laziness. Geez at least stay in the car or get your butt out of bed 15 minutes earlier and get dressed. Go Claudia!

I agree, big deal. She was taking her kids to school for heavens sake. Most of us who drive our kids to school don't even look half as put together as Claudia in the morning. By the time you get the kids fed & dressed and all of their stuff together to walk out the door, the last thing you're thinking about is how you look. Heck, when running late, I've even driven my kids in my PJ's so they weren't late for school. This writer needs to get a life.

Erin Donnelly you are brain dead! If this is the best you can come up with you deserve to go join the zombies. Where is your creativity and inventiveness which is what makes good journalism? As well as that you are shaming a woman trying to lead a normal life with her children even though in the spotlight as an international celebrity. The whole tone of your article is critical and judgemental and from one working woman about another working woman is really just downright disgusting. You should hang your head in shame!

So true, OR maybe she wore the outfit for an hour a half the first day and felt, rightly so, that it could make it another day...for another hour and a half. Good grief.

It was obviously taken on the same day. Good Grief even her hair is exactly the same!Her sleeves are rolled up in one pic.She is super pretty though whatever she wears.I saw her in person at the Vegas airport in 1996 and she was astoundingly gorgeous.

So what? I Claudia looks great in a classic understated way — same as Katherine Hepburn and Steve Jobs, both known for wearing the same look repeatedly, and undoubtedly owning many, many copies of their signature look.

Hello..... She's German! Europeans often wear the same clothes several days in a row, to conserve on resources (washing) and to preserve the life of the clothes. I am American, but have lived in Europe. Why do we, as Americans have to judge everyone by OUR standards? It does make us seem arrogant (not to mention wasteful) to them, so I've heard.

me: I wonder if the author bothers to read all these comments, or if the fashion industry is aware of what Americans consider important nowadays. Trying to keep ordinary low-brows like us interested in what celebrities wear is one thing, but finding fault with someone for not ALWAYS throwing lightly-worn clothes into the hamper is carrying it too far.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, I'll only have worn an outfit for a few hours on a particular day. So rather than throw in with the dirty clothes, I get more wear out of it the next day.
Like everyone else is saying, big deal! Only a fashion conscience junior higer would be concerned about something like this. (And plenty of junior highers wouldn't care.)

I have heard that if you are a celebrity and tired of having your photo snapped without your permission, and then sold to a website or magazine, wear the same clothes. The photo won't be so interesting -same old, same old - and not valuable to the photog. I think she was wearing the same outfit so the cameras would leave her alone and stop making money off her. I think it's pretty smart and shows she isn't seeking attention - just getting her kids to school. More celebs who sincerely don't want to have their photos taken should learn from her.
