For her arrival to the event, at which Perry took home the Best Video award for her provocative hit "California Gurls," the quirky singer opted for a bright red Jeremy Scott minidress covered in sparkly beads and resembling a movie ticket, complete with "Admit One" lettering.
She paired the pop art look with bright blue peep-toe platform pumps, a sky-high ponytail, and her new thick gold and textured wedding band, which appeared to be sans diamonds. (She apparently left her engagement ring at home.)
Perry's hubby -- clad in a slim black suit and an unbuttoned-down-to-there white shirt -- watched his wife unveil her first costume change as she accepted her award wearing a purple streak in her hair and a sequined green dress with see-through panels and feathers sprouting everywhere. (We're sure Johnny Weir would approve.)
On stage, Perry startled fans when she ripped off host Eva Longoria Parker's skirt and left her standing in a Lady Gaga-esque bodysuit. Naturally, the "Desperate Housewives" star didn't have an ounce of fat on her.
Of course, Perry, the same woman who changed 12 times while hosting the 2009 EMAs, couldn't stop with just two outfits. For her pyrotechnics-fueled performance she wore a nude bodysuit embellished with gold sequins on the bodice and around the ankles and wrists, adding up to an odd superhero look.
