In celebration of WOTY's 20th anniversary, Glamour honored visionaries, celebrities, leaders, athletes, and unsung heroines including Donatella Versace, Julia Roberts, Fergie, and Cher.
And while some of our favorite stars definitely brought on the glitz with bright, pink lipstick, smoky eye makeup, and wavy hairstyles, as WOTY honoree Queen Rania gracefully stated, last night "glamour was about how much good women can do."
Read on for the details on the top hair and beauty looks from the 2010 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
During fall, we usually see beauty trends that lean towards dark and moody shades, but that didn't keep Julia Roberts, Janelle Monae, and Kyra Sedgwick from smoothing on bold, pink lip colors. WOTY Honoree Julia Roberts kept her makeup soft and pretty with a blush, matte lipcolor. "Tightrope" singer Monae -- who revealed that it takes 10 people to fashion her rockin' pompadour -- painted on a slick fuschia lipstick that warmed up her brown skin tone. And Sedgwick accentuated her creamy complexion with a rich pink lacquer.
Smoky eyes are a classic makeup look that will never go out of style. So, we weren't surprised to see it revamped on the faces of last night's leading ladies. Presenter Janet Jackson shined on the red carpet with lush lashes, amber smoky lids, and caramel lips that she framed with perfectly arched brows. WOTY Honorees Lindsey Vonn and Lisa Leslie also donned the smoky eye makeup -- with Vonn's heavily lined lids that made her green eyes pop and Leslie's modern take in cobalt blue that perfectly matched her Pamella Roland chiffon gown.
Fergie, Kate Hudson, and Julia Roberts opted not to keep things straight and strutted down the red carpet in wavy hairstyles. The 35-year-old pop star's strawberry blonde locks flowed effortlessly along her red Zac Posen gown. Kate Hudson oozed sex appeal with Veronica Lake-esque waves that she paired with bright red lipstick. And Roberts never does wrong with her brunette, wavy locks.
