In 1952 when the beauty giant launched the Fire & Ice collection ad campaign featuring "It Girl" Dorian Leigh, the model's jet-black hair and striking red lips and nails set against a dazzling silver sequined gown triggered a hailstorm of copycats. So popular was the hue gracing Leigh's lips, that the featured Fire & Ice shade continues to be a top-selling Revlon shade.
Now the brand is bringing back the other lips-and-tips pairings with three new Super Lustrous Lipsticks and Nail Enamels meant to recreate the luxe femininity of the original shades.
Jessica Biel has been tapped to model a modern take on the iconic ad, with more touchably soft makeup and waves and a bateau-neck liquid beaded gown accompanied by a plumage-esque, sateen red shawl.
Rita Hayworth would be jealous.

"The bright orange adds a freshness to a lot of the whites, greys and silvers in the collections this season," Westman told StyleList. "It also has a nice futuristic feeling without being too strange. Very wearable for spring with a squeaky clean face."
Westman's vivid orange idea seemed to spread like lightening through the rest of spring fashion week's shows, with equally rich lips seen at collections ranging from Marc by Marc Jacobs, Luca Luca, Isaac Mizrahi and Alice + Olivia. Clearly, after seasons of minimalist and nude makeup looks, both designers and women are clamoring for a deeper and more glamorous expression of color.
