After beating out style icons Victoria Beckham and Alexa Chung to nab Harper's Bazaar UK's award for Best Dressed Woman of the Year, Carey Mulligan decided to step it up a notch and took on an even bigger target -- Anna Wintour.

Hollywood's new fashionista gave the queen of couture a run for her money in the same Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 sleeveless animal print dress.

Wintour wore the dress first at Valentino's Fall 2010 Couture show in Paris last July. The Vogue editrix paired her printed frock with a colorful beaded necklace, light pink cardigan, and her go-to kitten heels.

Mulligan wore a shorter version of the Lanvin dress to Google's Boutiques.com launch party this week. The British actress completed her look with a black clutch, YSL pumps, and a statement necklace.

Maybe the rising fashion mogul was inspired by Wintour's style sense after being featured on the October cover of Vogue.
