While specialty stores and mass merchants are gearing up for super sales, where do we go for the best fashion, accessories and beauty at a price? Department stores, of course.
Here's a rundown of things to come on Black Friday:
- The Bon Ton stores open at 3 a.m. and is offering door buster rewards for those intrepid enough to make it out before 1 p.m. Victor Alfaro cashmere sweaters are $49.97, marked down from $118-$134. All women's outerwear is 60 percent off. Emu Australian boots are $59.97, marked down from $89-$99. And diamond accent bracelets are a mere $15.97, marked down from $80.
- Macy's opens at 4 a.m. across the country and has some amazing deals for jewelry, home goods (a Martha Stewart Dutch oven for $19.99), men (a Timberland puffer for $34.00) and kids (60 percent off PJs), but women's wear is where it's at. Calvin Klein and DKNY sweaters are $27.99, Charter Club cashmere sweaters are $39.99 and it's 20 percent off all boots and booties.
- JC Penney is offering over 300 doorbuster deals from 4 a.m. to 1 p.m. – the most in its history. A 1 carat total-weight diamond ring, pendant or bracelet is $79.99. Women's boots are $29.99, with some marked down to $19.99. A St. John's Bay 3-pair of gloves is a mere $3.88 and a St. John's Bay cashmere-blend peacoat is $49.88. Liz Claiborne sweaters are $14.88. In addition, customers can get additional coupons by texting JOIN to JCP365 or checking in to a JC Penney store via Foursquare, Brightkite and Facebook Deals on Facebook Places.
- In New York City, Bloomingdale's will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and is offering services to make shopping easier. It's complimentary At Your Service personal shopping shoppers can assemble a collection of gifts to give for any budget. The store offers a bag check so shopper don't have to carry their packages. There are five restaurants spread throughout the store to keep up your shopping strength. And from November 26 through November 28, customers can earn $15 in bMoney for every $100 spent.
