Alexandra White competed for just one week on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" in 2009, but fans will remember the young beauty for a memorable reality moment: when fellow loser Antoine Dove got on bended knee to propose during the live Season 8 finale.
Now, the slimmed-down White is competing on the E! network's controversial reality show "Bridalplasty" for a chance at a smorgasbord of plastic surgery and an all-expenses-paid dream wedding.
White, who lost 91 pounds post-"Loser," signed on for '"Bridalplasty" with a surgery wish list common in men and women who've lost copious amounts of weight: She wants to nip and tuck sagging skin that won't respond to diet and exercise.
While her priority is a tummy tuck to drop a pants size, she explains to StyleList, "I have excess skin on my tummy and thighs from having lost weight so fast and trouble areas I can simply not get rid of, so lipo(suction) would help too."
White's had consultations about the surgery she craves, but cannot afford the $10,000 estimated price.
The show's resident plastic surgeon, Dr. Terry Dubrow of Newport Beach, Calif., says the procedures White desires are increasingly requested by formerly obese men and women who've shed pounds through diet and exercise or gastric bypass and lap-band procedures. "In fact, most patients who plan on this kind of weight loss have considered this and start to excitedly plan on these procedures before they have lost all of the weight," Dubrow told StyleList.
White's ideal postsurgical results would include "a flat, gorgeous tummy, toned hips and sculpted arms and legs." The college student, who weighed 351 pounds when she went on "The Biggest Loser" at age 19, says she's not concerned about surgery risks: "I am extremely healthy and young."
White could not tell StyleList if she wins her dream procedures, but she stresses her desire for a fabulous celebrity-style wedding -- not Heidi Montag-style surgery -- was what compelled her to compete. "I am a naturally curvy girl and I have a bigger bone structure. It's not about being a size 0. It's about being toned and sexy."
"Competing on 'Bridalplasty' is a chance to complete my fairy tale," she says.
"Bridalplasty" airs on the E! network Sundays at 9 p.m./8 p.m. CST.
