Through a partnership between Vogue, the CFDA, NYC & Company, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the event will laud New York's fashion and retail industry, which pumps $55 billion into the city's annual economy.
Thanks to the fabulousness of this past September's event, however, FNO 2011 has its work cut out for it.
The second annual event, held Sept. 10, 2010, was the focus of a CBS special and involved more than 16 countries and 100 cities across the United States. The biggest celebration was in New York, which threw the largest public fashion show in the city's history, starring Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell and Lara Stone. Gotham also hosted numerous in-store events, including appearances by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Victoria Beckham, Nicole Richie and just about every designer in town.
While plans for FNO 2011 are just getting underway, organizers say it will once again involve in-store events and promotions featuring the industry's top talent, celebrity guests and live window displays.
To keep up with all the FNO action, fans can follow along on Facebook and Twitter.
