So it only makes sense that the jet-setting designer invited about 40 bloggers to visit her shop in New York's Meatpacking District Wednesday evening and put together outfits for either a hot, beach locale or a cool, ski scene.
Choosing from Burch's resort collection, bloggers (including StyleList) styled looks that were then superimposed on a background of ski slopes or a beach scene by wizards (or are they elves at this time of year?) from Sandbox Studios.
Burch rolled out the red carpet because, she said, she's a huge fan of bloggers and the medium in general. "I love the influence they have," she told StyleList, "with their followers and what they're saying... their honesty. It's very interesting," she added. "I blog on my site and we put things up that we feel passionate about. "I think there's a great freedom to have this format."
And to drive the travel theme home, Burch shared what essential items she can't travel without. They are her own scented mini-votives, super comfy travel socks, great music (she recommends the Tory Burch Foundation Volume 2: Accion USA), Smith's Rosebud Salve, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer and a piece of Tory red (aka orange) ribbon for good luck.
