Carey Mulligan had a red-letter day wearing a Prabal Gurung dress on Dec. 5 in London.

The actress was nominated at the Moët British Independent Film Awards for Best Actress for her work in "Never Let Me Go."

The movie, which co-stars Keira Knightley and Andrew Garfield, centers around three friends who grow up in a seemingly idyllic English boarding school, then mature into adults who must come to terms with life.

Mulligan, a proud member of the pixie-cut club, wore her blond strands in a messy updo for an unfussy look and created a perfectly balanced face with her makeup: seriously sexy eyes and subtle, glossy lips.

The 25-year-old actress -- who divulged that her "Wall Street" character was no fashionista -- chose a Cartier ring and Roger Vivier shoes and bag to complete her ensemble.

In related news, Mulligan has such good taste that she was caught wearing the same dress as Vogue's editor!
