So what if her ex-husband got engaged first and she got dumped by her hairstylist?
Newly engaged singer-actress Jessica Simpson could be laughing all the way to the fashion bank, according to a published report.
The former reality star's various fashion ventures, all part of the Jessica Simpson Collection, put her personal worth at a cool $100 million, according to a report in WWD.
Did you hear that ka-ching sound, Kardashian sisters?
The newspaper dished on the former "Price of Beauty" star's empire in a Dec. 6 story headlined: "Jessica Simpson: Fashion's Billion Dollar Baby."
Simpson's new denim line is said to be performing beyond expectations and her 22 other fashion and beauty products, which include swimwear, sportswear and fragrances, reported sales this year of $750 million.
The reason for her retailing success? "She is the girl next door and has great product that surrounds her," Vince Camuto, president and founder of Simpson's master licensee, the Camuto Group, told WWD. "People like her. People look at her as a style icon."
And as for how her occasional mom-jeans fashion regrets play with consumers, Camuto mused: "Sometimes she missteps, and they identify with her."
And to think critics sniffed about her fashion cred when she served as guest judge on the Season 8 "Project Runway" finale.
Last week Simpson told People, "There's lots to be thankful for this year and lots to celebrate this holiday season."
Let's add her vintage diamond-and-ruby engagement ring from fiancé Eric Johnson to the list.
