Where they live: New York City

Their thing: Guerrilla street style. Their swat teams scour the world's hippest cities for trendsetters, stop them in their tracks and ask them to spill their style secrets. Wallach and Fedor are known to lure beautiful strangers into their big black Suburban for interviews. (Once, they were questioning a man in head-to-toe black and their car battery died. The duo kept warm at a lovely bistro and made the most of the experience -- searching for more street styles.)

Bonus points for the green gals: They ask participants how they are reducing their carbon footprint, inspiring others to do the same. Mother Earth must be so proud!

Their "aha!" moment: It's only been a decade in the making... "Abby and I conceived of the idea for Beautiful Stranger 10 years ago," said Fedor. "We were inspired by what we saw on the street. We felt the sidewalks were as, if not more, interesting than the runways, especially as we dug deeper into the personal side of real people of style."

Their current style obsessions: Both agree that edgier investment pieces are on their wish lists. Fedor would like a three-quarter-length coat from Rick Owens, and Wallach needs a perfect pair of gray boots to go with her Stella gun-metal bag -- her heart is set on Chloé. Are you listening, Santa?

They can't believe they ever wore: Fedor: "Blue eye shadow, when I first started working at Women's Wear Daily." Wallach: "Leggings in the '80s, and they are back again."

Fashion Advice: "It's all in the shoes. If you don't have great shoes, you can't have great style." And, "Everything old is new again. Shop your own closet. It is amazing what you will find."
