After the release of "Good Girl Gone Bad" in 2007, Rihanna began shifting her style from soft and feminine to bold and edgy. In the past year alone, we have seen a dramatic evolution of the "Only Girl (In the World)" with her continually changing tresses.

We love how the 22-year-old has taken risks to define her own style in a way that is unique and sometimes extreme, yet doesn't border on ridiculous like other pop stars (ahem, Lady Gaga).

When asked what she thinks her style will be like in a year's time, Rihanna told Interview magazine, "It would have to be so extreme that it's a look, because I don't usually like typical ladylike, girly-girly stuff. It would be a look if I were to do it. I always like something that's a little off, so it's just not typical or expected."
