Dear StyleList,
Greetings from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home to more than 400,000 people and two major universities, Louisiana State University (LSU), and Southern University. The weather is hot and, especially with so many students around, so are the trends!

Eyes: When it comes to makeup the look has gotten a lot more drastic over the years, especially around the eyes. Once upon a time wearing blue shadow was a major No-No, but not anymore. If you have on blue clothes, then it's perfectly fine to rock the blue eye shadow to match.
Lips: The lips, on the other hand, seem to be a little more subtle with the use of natural tone lipstick or gloss. Nude lips are popular here as everywhere, as lips take second seat to showy eyes.
Nails: Hair may be long but nails are getting shorter! Long, long nails are also a thing of the past, as more and more ladies are going for the natural nail look. However, the polish is just as bold as the eye shadow, with popular colors like hot pink, orange, and yellow.
When it comes to style the women of Baton Rouge are not afraid to step out and make a bold statement. The risk-taking and envelope-pushing trends down here will definitely make anyone stop to take notice.
Love,
L.A.
