The couple met during the making of "Black Swan," the critical hit that has some observers (by which we mean StyleList) predicting an awards-season sweep for the 29-year-old actress. She was recently announced as a Best Actress nominee for next month's Golden Globes.
Adding to the sense that 2011 will be Portman's year, she was tapped by Vogue magazine as their January cover girl. In that profile, she said of her dark "Black Swan" character, "because it's me, people are shocked. I see the value of a good-girl persona -- it's so easy to subvert it!"
The fashionable Portman has been closely linked with Rodarte designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy, wearing the label to the Oscars and also stepping out in their Target bridge line. Speculation is already rife that the sisters could be tapped to design her wedding dress.
Of course, the young beauty is also the face of Dior Parfums, meaning there might be some competition from John Galliano.
Portman previously enjoyed a long relationship with Mexican actor, Gael Garcia Bernal.
