Models: They're certainly not just like us. And 26-year-old catwalker Karolina Kurkova, who gave birth to her first child Oct. 29, hammers this point home in the new Spring-Summer 2011 ads for Max Mara.
In the campaign, shot by Mario Sorrenti, the leggy Czech stunner shows off an impossibly svelte body after less than seven weeks out from becoming a mother. (In related news: Kourtney Kardashian claims it takes one year's time to get back your pre-baby body.)
Of course, this wouldn't be the first model to return super fast from pregnancy. Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bündchen appeared in tip-top shape on the cover of Vogue just six weeks after the birth of her first child.
Kurkova's Max Mara ads, which feature her in chic double-breasted suits, classic trench coats and a single skintight skirt, are the first of three post-baby campaigns that she's nabbed. Expect to see the leggy blonde in SS11 ads for Bottega Veneta and Jean Paul Gaultier, as well.
And Kurkova isn't the only person celebrating multiple campaigns. Aside from Max Mara's main label, the Italian design house is debuting its first ever Spring ads for new label 'S Max Mara.
Shot by Max Farago and using New York City as backdrop, the ads feature 21-year-old Dutch model Marloes Horst in the 'S line's signature Cube coats and vests (so named because they easily fold and tuck into an accompanying cube-shape nylon bag) posing in front of the stone-cold buildings of Wall Street and a vibrant yellow wall at the School of Architecture.
The lightweight, reversible and water-resistant garments are even lighter than the debut Fall-Winter styles and come in a mouthwatering array of sorbet hues, including cherry red, sage, pink, blue and orange, along with neutrals beige, black and army green, and include luxe add-ons like crystal-embellished cuff and hood trims.
