At the 2011 People's Choice Awards, where there was smoke, as in Joanna Garcia's smoldering lids, there was also fire, we're talking Taylor Swift's bold red pout. And in efforts to outshine them all, there were blue carpet beauties like Kim Kardashian, who opted for the bronzed goddess look to round out the glamorous beauty trends.

The smoky eye ruled the blue carpet as the go-to look for some of the prettiest peepers in Hollywood. Raven-Symoné and the newly-married Joanna Garcia, who wed Yankee Nick Swisher just last month, both opted for a traditional charcoal-tinged smoky effect paired with nude lips. But it was "Nikita" star Tiffany Hines who decided to put a bright spin on the sultry look by adding an electric purple hue to her lids and coupled that with a vivid pink gloss for her mouth.

For celebrities who wanted to take a chance with bold hues, the lips were their main focal point. "The Big Bang Theory's" Kaley Cuoco and risk-taking crooner Katy Perry each painted their pouts with bright pink shades that were evocative of fluorescent trends of the '80s. Country cutie Taylor Swift kept her look classic, just the way she likes, but upped the ante with fire-engine red lips.

The golden girls of the evening kept their looks neutral and shimmery with lip glosses ranging from nude to bronze, simplistic eyes and highlighted cheeks. Kim Kardashian, who sported eyes lined with the blackest black of pencils and equally dark feathery lashes, looked perfectly polished with gilded cheeks and barely-there color on her shiny lips. For Malin Akerman's take on the trend, she went for more of a California beach beauty approach with a bronzed pout and sun-kissed skin. "House" actress Lisa Edelstein chose a toasty-tinged gloss to grace her lips and kept the rest of her face equally soft.
