Both reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian and teen dream Selena Gomez sported the sexy style. Gomez's version was lengthier and featured loose waves, while Kardashian's texture was a bit bolder with more voluminous spirals that were reminiscent of screen legend Veronica Lake.
Jamal Hammadi, celebrity hairstylist and creator of Hamadi Beauty, was the mastermind behind Gomez's gorgeous locks. "I wanted to create a modern Victoria Lake type of vibe and Selena worked it!" he said.
To perfect this look, he sprayed Hamadi Shea Spray onto her strands to add extra protection and shine. Then he sectioned the hair while it was dry into four sections and applied a little of Hamadi Shea Cream. Using a 1'' ionic FHI curling iron, the stylist started to shape Gomez's hair into an "S" shape. After completing the waves, he shaped her hair around her face and pinned curled the sections very loosely to set. To protect her hair from static, he then took the Hamadi Wooden Bristle Brush and brushed her hair to one side to achieve a clean side section.
Comedian Kathy Griffin attempted to get in on the side-swept action but her red strands fell flat, literally, looking limp and in definite need of a texture boost. But not bad for the "D-List," right?
"Pretty Little Liars" maven Lucy Hale did her own take on the side-swept 'do, but kept on sweeping with her raven locks styled up into a side chignon.
Kourtney wasn't the only Kardashian who made a statement with her strands on the awards show's blue carpet, check out little sis Khloe's new red hue.
