A quartet of actresses made jaws drop tonight in stunning emerald-green dresses.
First up was über-star Angelina Jolie who showed up on the arm of Tom Ford-clad baby-daddy Brad Pitt in a dazzling long-sleeved Versace gown with bold shoulders and thousands of glittering beads. The mother of six paired the somewhat-relaxed silhouette with a bold Robert Procop ring in a matching hue and Ferragamo heels.
Also wearing the hue was Best Supporting Actress nominee Mila Kunis who seduced viewers in a deep-green Vera Wang gown that featured an asymmetrical neckline, twisted fabric and dramatic train. She paired the dress with YSL heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Judith Leiber clutch.
A third smoldering brunette donning the hue was Catherine Zeta-Jones, who played up her porcelain skin with a sweetheart-neckline Monique Lhullier ballgown that cascaded to the floor in thick textured ruffles that made it appear almost grasslike. We notice that after a bit of a scare, Zeta-Jones' storied curves appear to be back in action as well. Phew.
Wearing the exact same hue, but in a silky fabric with plenty of sheen was Best Actress nominee Elisabeth Moss (she lost to Katey Sagal), who opted for a strapless Donna Karan with intricate folds that added a bit of structure to the fluid silhouette.
Who rocked the vivid jewel tone best? While we have to give all three brunettes the edge over Moss for their dramatic pairing of deep dark locks with the eye-catching hue (with Kunis coming out on top), we want to know what you think. Let us know in a comment below.
In the meantime, see the bizarre Golden Globes look of the always quirky Helena Bonham Carter.
