When awards season approaches, the beauty team at StyleList can predict which beauty trends will rule the red carpet. Smoky eyes, red lips and bronze skin are classic makeup looks that will never go out of style.

But we were suprised to see some of our favorite actress' step outside of the box at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards and amp up subtle beauty with pink lipstick and lush lashes.

Many of Hollywood's leading ladies hit the red carpet at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards wearing the vibrant lip color -- a refreshing departure from the classic red lip. Julia Stiles, who was nominated for her supporting role on the Showtime series "Dexter," stood out with her bright pink pout and smoky eyes. Best Dramatic Actress winner Natalie Portman accentuated her pregnancy glow with a pink-stained lip, winged out liner and blush. And "Black Swan" co-star Mila Kunis smoothed on a pink-peach lipgloss that complemented her luminous complexion and dark brows.

Come-hither, lush lashes were the must-have beauty accessory at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards. "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria put her best face forward (in the midst of a very public breakup from NBA star Tony Parker) and rounded out her flawless skin with falsies and nude, matte lipstick. Country singer Carrie Underwood donned shimmering champagne eyeshadow, perfectly, arched brows, wispy lashes and glossy lips. And E! " Fashion Police " Correspondent Kelly Osbourne got in on the action with well-defined lashes.
