There's one event every February we truly heart. Nope, not Valentine's Day. Try the The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection.

Kicking off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this year on Feb. 9, this is the fashion show we can hardly wait for because it brings a lineup of A-list stars walking the runway for a great cause.

And we just found out a bunch who are slated to be there: Melanie Griffith, Suzanne Somers (in Ina Soltani), Denise Richards, Allison Sweeney, Jennifer Love Hewitt (in Max Azria) and Eve.

Wow, that's a lot of star power for a great cause!

Now, if you don't know this show, you should. Each year it features celebrities and other wonderful women walking the runway in red dresses. Why red?

To remind women that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of American women.

Yep, you read that right. Most if us -- one-half in fact -- are actually unaware how common it is. A lot of it is related to weight and cholesterol.

The show is a moment to remember that and for women everywhere to take note: How can we take better care of ourselves and of each other?

That's a question every woman should ask every day. So take a minute, breathe to de-stress; go for a quick walk; whip up a salad. Do what you need to do to be healthy and beautiful, and ask your best friend to do it with you.

Then plan to follow more stories about this show this month on StyleList and our sister site MyDaily.com and learn more about heart health from our friends at Heart Truth.

The Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection 2011 is presented by Diet Coke with national sponsor Swarovski and partners Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and AOL.
